Our catamarans offer spacious decks, shaded areas, and netted lounging zones over the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea—perfect for relaxing, dancing, or celebrating with friends and family.
Thanks to their wide and stable design, catamarans are ideal for larger groups and help reduce seasickness, making the journey more comfortable for everyone. The tour includes stops at the famous natural pool of Palmilla Beach, snorkeling gear, and an open bar on board.
Whether you're planning a birthday, bachelor party, or just a fun day under the sun, our catamaran tours to Saona Island are fully customizable to fit your group’s vibe.
✔️ Benefits of Choosing a Catamaran
- Wide and stable – less motion, fewer chances of seasickness
- Ideal for larger groups and social events
- Spacious open decks for dancing, lounging, and sunbathing
- Comfortable shaded areas and netted over-water lounging
- Fun and festive atmosphere for parties and group celebrations
⚠️ Considerations
- Slower speed compared to a motor yacht – longer travel time to Saona
- Less privacy than a yacht if you're seeking a romantic or quiet escape
- Not all catamarans have air-conditioned interiors

Things to Know Before Booking Your Saona Island Tour
Before booking your private yacht or catamaran tour to Saona Island, there are a few important factors to keep in mind to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience:
- Departure is not from Punta Cana: Due to the distance, boats cannot depart directly from Punta Cana to Saona Island. All tours begin from Casa de Campo Marina in La Romana, located about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Punta Cana by car.
- ID is required: All guests must provide a valid photo ID (passport or government-issued ID) before the tour. This is necessary to generate the official QR code boarding passes required by the Dominican port authorities.
- Transportation from Punta Cana: We offer round-trip private transportation to the Casa de Campo Marina for an additional cost. The rate is $250 for up to 14 people. You can also check with your hotel lobby, as some resorts may offer similar or lower-priced transportation. We recommend comparing both options to choose what works best for your group.
- Plan for a full day: Tours to Saona Island typically last between 6 to 8 hours, including cruising time, snorkeling, time at the natural pool, and beach relaxation. Be sure to set aside a full day in your itinerary.
